The "Eth-Mi" DVD Library is up!

Hey all... the DVDs have arrived!

Thanks to all your suggestions and sorry to those who did not get what they wanted in this first batch of DVDs, I was on a limited budget and had to buy films based on how requested they were. If there are enough demands for new DVDs I will get together a proposal for an extension of the current budget, so continue to post suggestions in the comments section below :)

How to Borrow?

Anyone from King’s is more than welcome to borrow for the “Eth-Mi” DVD library, just email me (Bayu Pangestu, Ethnic Minorities officer) at bp301@cam.ac.uk with the subject header “DVD Rental” and the film you would like along with your box number. I’ll get it to you as soon as I can (the DVD will be left with the porters for safekeeping but there’ll be a note in your box allowing you to collect it).

How about Returns?

As with most of the other DVD libraries there isn’t a fixed date of return, just keep it within reason! (i.e. within the week). Just drop the DVDs off in my box (602).

How can I contribute?

As the DVD library grows and expands I will eventually cook up some sort of catalogue that would look a little more appealing than the current drab Excel sheet. It would be nice to have a few student-written reviews to put in there as well, so if any of the films inspires you enough to write a quick review on it please feel free to email them to me, it would add a great personal touch! Additionally, if any of you would like to volunteer DVDs from your own personal collection to be listed in the library for an interim period, please feel free to email me J
