I like many science students will find it harder to vote mid-day due to lectures/time-tabled teaching. I think they should go on late evening when the ability to get tickets will not be subject specific.
To be honest, I actually see no point at all in changing the time. Whether it is 1 or 6 or 3, there will always be someone who has lectures or other commitments. I have lectures at 1 and 6. Sorry, but this attempt does not change anything at all and does not really address the problem. That said, this does not mean that I am against a resolution of the possible unfairness, or that I do not appreciate the effort.
is there a reason why we cant try the idea of having half the tickets on sale and one time and the other half at another time?
that sounded like a much better idea than just changing the time
The argument that someone will always have issues is the reason it's a poll - to try and get the time when the least people have a problem. Personally I think a wider range of times or a different system entirely would be better, but this is a start.

Some lectures don't finish till 1 so 1:15 / 1:30 may be better.
